About Us
As a company, Fire Mitigation Services strive to develop new and innovative methods to prevent, prepare and combat the threat of bushfires within the community of WA. Directors Corry and Kylie Munson have created a team of highly skilled and diverse individuals who make the FMS name what it is today. FMS conduct a wide range of mitigation tasks such as mulching and slashing all the way through to broad scale prescribed burning to ensure the community's safety with the ever posing risk of large bushfires.

Different locations and communities require different approaches to fire management. Government reliance on volunteers to carry out fire mitigation activities is becoming unsustainable. Declining volunteer numbers due to busy schedules and complications surrounding the use of prescribed burning have seen the necessity to develop Fire Mitigation Services.
Longer and hotter summers are also resulting in longer bushfire seasons, causing burnout amongst volunteers. Mitigation contractors are therefore a necessity to local government to minimise fire impact on their communities. FMS is ideally positioned to provide essential ground services for prevention, preparedness, response and recovery services to government and communities. |
